In general terms or meaning the word vata indicates VAAYU or the Vata means to blow or to move like a wind. Since Pitta dosha and Kapha dosha can’t move without Vata, Vata is viewed as the pioneer of the three Ayurvedic Body Types . Vata Dosha Characteristics

- SamanaVayu

PranaVayu: (Forward-moving air)
It is the primary air (Vayu) or nervous force, reaches out from the stomach to the throat, focused or concentrates in the cerebrum, administering , inhaling and swallowing and also sneezing, spitting and belching. It is accountable for taking things like water, food and air into the framework. It controls the senses, brain, heart and consciousness. SamanaVayu: (Equalizing air)

VyanaVayu: (Pervasive air)

UdanaVayu: (Upward moving air)

At death it comes from the body and guides towards various desires as shown by the energy of our will and the karma that travel through it is shown. ApanaVayu: (Downward moving air)

1. Stay warm and stay calm:
